A farm house surrounded by rice paddies. This flat spot was lower in elevation and closer to the road.

We were climbing constantly. In this picture, we were just about to come out into a corn field, but it didn't get any less steep.

Because it is on the side of the mountain closest to the road, even this remote farm house was electrified. There is no telephone, but notice the satelite dish.

These farmers were taking a midday break. The men on the left were playing cards.
