Gina and Lou in China


This is a type of mushroom that is hard to find in the U.S. but very common in China, and something resembling brocolli stems, with sliced garlic and ginger root. Our stove is a one burner electric hot plate.


Eggplant with lots of garlic and a little hot pepper.


The complete meal. In addition to the mushroom/brocolli stem stir fry and the eggplant, there is a very typical egg and tomato stir fry and a rice noodle soup with mushrooms, garlic, and lots of other stuff. It was quite a feast.
