The trail climbed steady, mostly on stone steps, through farm fields, and then
through forest.

Fay, Xiaoping, and I, along with the seven students, sat at the table in the foreground. You can
just make out the big rice bucket with the basket lid in the background. Like many restaurants,
it was full and free for the taking.

picture you can see most of the city of Ya’an.
