Part of the project for our students was creating a poster/invitation. When we arrived, the
poster was taped to the blackboard in the classroom.

The classrooms are fairly large, but with 60+ students in a class, they can feel very
cramped. The woman in the yellow coat next to the door is the English teacher and a friend or ours.

We used a laptop computer and a portable projector to display the images from the book
while the students presented the story.

Our students developed a good understanding of the story and were able to make interesting
and effective presentations.

These are third graders. They speak very little English, but they appreciated the story.

This picture gives an idea of the type of environment the school is. This is one of two
five-story classroom buildings. There are about 1800 students in the school.
