There are mysterious stone towers in the villages around Danba. No one, not even
the people who live next to them, knows what they are for.
The mountain valleys to the west of Danba are very green.
Over the mountain passes to the west of Danba, in far western Sichuan, the dry
Tibetan Plateau begins. This is a very small temple in a village outside of Tagong.
